Making its Johannesburg debut at Marks Park Sports Club, this exciting road run promises a morning of fitness, fun, and fierce competition for runners of all levels.
With four dynamic start waves — Open Wave, Super Social Wave, Elite Women, and Elite Men — the Boxer Super Run Joburg is all about celebrating the diverse running culture that defines Mzansi’s biggest city. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, running for a cause, or simply soaking up the vibe with friends, there’s a wave designed just for you.
A 5K for Every Kind of Runner
“We’re excited to bring the Boxer Super Run to Jozi this November,” says Lee-Ann Pillay, Head of Marketing at Boxer Superstores.
“Our goal is simple — to welcome every kind of runner to the event. The beauty of the 5km distance lies in its inclusivity: it’s accessible for first-timers, fun for social joggers, and still delivers an exhilarating test for seasoned athletes chasing fast times.”
The Open Wave, kicking off at 07:00, invites competitive runners, club athletes, school teams, and anyone looking to push for a fast time.
The Super Social Wave, running between 08:00 and 09:30, is all about good vibes — think bright costumes, music, laughter, and plenty of selfies. Participants are encouraged to bring their families, colleagues, and friends to enjoy a morning of community spirit and active fun.
And for those who love the thrill of elite competition, the Elite Women’s race begins at 09:45, followed by the Elite Men’s race at 10:00 — where South Africa’s best athletes will go head-to-head for the coveted titles of King and Queen of the Boxer Super Run 5K.
“We can’t wait to see Jozi’s running community rally behind the elites on this brand-new course,” adds Pillay. “We encourage all participants to stay, cheer, and witness South Africa’s best in action — you might just see history being made!”
