Tshwane, South Africa; In what has been a most auspicious year for TuksNetball, having seen 6 members representing South Africa at the Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar, this has been a testament to the continued excellence and legacy of TuksNetball.
This year, the StripeGeneration welcomed Coach Amanda Mynhardt to the team. Her passion, skill, dedication, and heart proved that she was the perfect fit. Coach Amanda demonstrated her resilience in overcoming any obstacle while maintaining the performance ethos. And as she accoladed and commended her players at the TuksNetball Year End Function, which took place at the Tuks HPC on Monday evening, Amanda shared some powerful words: “Guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life.” These words are very relevant as TuksNetball will say goodbye to teammates at the end of the season due to them having graduated. But more so, we wish our International recruits well as they travel overseas. Good luck to Kamogelo Maseko, Ine-Marie Venter, Jamie van Wyk, and Shadine V/D Merwe. In acknowledging our players, TuksMales proved that hard work and heart are what make them a proud Tukkie. And for the 1st time in 2026, the TuksMale Netball team will go into a structured performance program. With outstanding individual performances, various TuksNetball Male players represented Tshwane District at the 2025 National Male Champs, where they took a podium position and finished 2nd under coach Erica Dibela, who showed consistency, having also finished second at the 2025 USSA tournament.

Outstanding achievements were achieved from our female teams, with some noteworthy mention to the following players;
Kamogelo Maseko; SPAR Protea, SA Fast V, TNL (Gauteng Jaguars), USSA, Varsity Netball
Shadine V/D Merwe; SPAR Protea, International (Manchester Thunder), Varsity Netball
Anja Van Den Heever; SPAR Baby Protes, Telkom Netball League, USSA Netball, Varsity Netball, SPAR National Champs, Tshwane U/21A
Phophi Nematangari; SPAR Baby Protea (Captain), USSA Netball
Marichelle Visagie; Telkom Netball League, USSA Netball, Varsity Netball, Tshwane Senior A

In the evening, various club awards were presented, where Captains Caroline Paul and Prosperity Magagula received MVP Players’ player of the year awards. However, none of this would go unnoticed without the hard work of the people behind the scenes providing education, mentorship, and hours of meticulous administrative work. Thank you to all those individuals who give of their time tirelessly and effortlessly to the StripeGeneration and to TuksNetball.
